Support for the journey you’re already on
Every quest needs a rest stop.
If you’ve arrived here you might be thinking to yourself I want something to be different, My brain never turns off, I know where this comes from, but knowing doesn’t fix it, or I’m tired of shrinking myself for others. This is where I can help.
Many adults carry emotional stories that began in childhood shaped by caregivers, past relationships, and experiences that shaped us to who we are today. Some of these stories we cherish and some we want to rewrite.
Kindred Quest Therapy provides a warm, reflective space for exploring these inner worlds safely and compassionately. Using an attachment-centered and trauma-informed approach, sessions gently examine how early relational patterns show up today which can often result in anxiety, depression, perfectionism, emotional shutdown, people-pleasing, or repeating relationship struggles.
Therapy helps untangle old protective strategies so that clients can build new abilities toward connection, self-trust, and emotional freedom.
This way of working helps to . . .
- Increase emotional expression and self-understanding.
- Build self-regulation skills.
- Process trauma.
- Decrease stress from life transitions.
- Decrease anxious feelings.
- Develop problem-solving abilities.
- Strengthen self-esteem and confidence.
- Improve relationships with self, friends, and family.
EMDR Therapy
Some experiences stay with us long after the moment has passed, shaping how we feel, relate, and move through the world. EMDR therapy offers a structured, evidence-based way to process these experiences without having to retell every detail of the story.
Using bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps the brain and nervous system reprocess painful or overwhelming memories so they no longer feel like obstacles on the path forward. For adults navigating trauma, anxiety, or moments where life feels stuck, EMDR can help clear what’s been holding you back—allowing greater ease, resilience, and direction as you continue your journey.
Using Creativity in Therapy
Not everything can be put into words. Expressive therapy offers adults a way to explore emotions and experiences through creative and symbolic forms such as art, sandtray, imagery, or storytelling when talking alone isn’t enough. You don’t need to be artistic; you’re expressing your emotions, not making an etsy store.
These approaches can help uncover meaning, release emotional blocks, and access deeper insight in a gentle, grounded way. Expressive therapy creates space to explore your inner world, reconnect with your intuition, and move forward with greater clarity and wholeness on your journey.
