A Free Virtual Workshop
Led by Eric Norton, MA, LMFT, RPT
Tuesday, July 14th from 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Coming out is rarely one conversation
For many LGBTQ+ kids and teens, it is a series of small decisions about trust, safety, and connection. Parents often want to be supportive but aren’t always sure what to say, what questions to ask, or how to respond in ways that strengthen the relationship.
This free workshop is designed to help parents better understand the coming out process and learn practical ways to become a safe, supportive presence in their child’s life.
Who is This Workshop For?
- Parents of LGBTQ+ children and teens
- Parents of questioning children and teens
- Caregivers who want to better understand and support LGBTQ+ youth
- Anyone seeking to build stronger, more trusting relationships with the young people in their lives
What Can I Expect?
- A 30-minute presentation on the ongoing coming out process for LGBTQ+ kids and teens, what helps kids and teens feel supported, and and guidance on facilitating this ongoing conversation with your kids.
- A 30-minute Q & A portion to either ask questions you have about this process or to listen to other families.
- This event is virtual and can be attended with cameras on or off.
- If you have questions you’d like to be answered in the workshop but do not want to ask them you can email them to me prior to the workshop.
